Julie is a talented training designer and instructor who specializes in adult-learning theory and internal consulting.
Julie has over ten years experience in instructional design and delivering stand-up training. She has designed and delivered numerous learning programs in teambuilding, communication, sales, and fund development, including designing a training program from the ground up for Orange County’s United Way, where she worked with companies such as Nordstrom, Boeing, Bank of America, Pacific Life, and Cal OPTIMA on achieving their training goals.
Julie has experience teaching in many environments, including corporate America, the public sector, and four-year universities. Currently, she works at the Orange County Transportation Authority as the Senior Training & Development Administrator, coordinating a multitude of training programs as well as designing and delivering training for the Authority’s over 1800 employees. She is also responsible for designing and implementing a new learning management system there and acting as an internal consultant for the Authority’s numerous departments.
Julie received her Master of Arts in English language and literature from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from California State University, Fullerton. She holds a certificate in Certificate of Technical Writing from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA and has taught at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, University of California, Davis, and Orange Coast College.
