TRAINER'S TOOL BOX: TRAINER'S GAMES, TRAINING BOOKS,
SIMULATIONS AND EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITIES

The Training Clinic carries a carefully selected inventory of training books, trainer tools, training games, interactive training simulations and instructional activities. If your objective is to create a more active training environment,  consider using experiential activities to set a more creative training setting. Instructional activities or training simulations, such as the "Murder Mystery Card Deck" (a training simulation), involve the learner in a fun, interactive learning experience. Training games, such as our "Challenge Game...a training board game", help maintain interest while effectively making your learning point.

Training Games

"Challenge...a training board game", is an easily facilitated, generic board game, which adds excitement to your training programs while it imparts, reinforces and evaluates knowledge about your training topic. The Game can be played by up to 5 participants or 5 teams.  You can incorporate "Challenge...a training board game" at any stage of your training session ("New Employee Orientation", "Customer Service" or "Sales Training" game cards are available now) to provide a review, follow-up or reinforcement of the content that has been covered.

Training Simulations

The Murder Mystery is a 30 minute discussion activity that enhances a variety of training programs.  By sharing information using 27 clue cards participants solve the Murder Mystery: they identify the victim, the murder weapon, the time and place of the murder, the murderer and the motive.

The Murder Mystery Card Deck (a training simulation) can be used to:

bulletMake discussions more productive
bulletEnhance problem solving skills
bulletIncrease clarity of communications
bulletDiscover productive team behaviors
bulletImprove listening and questioning skills
bulletAdd participation and involvement
bulletIncrease awareness of the contributions of others

A facilitator's guide is included with the Murder Mystery Card Deck.

Case Studies

Using case studies in training is one of the most effective ways to involve learners. Our newest book, "Instant Case Studies" , shows you how to create case studies quickly and easily, as well as giving you 71 case studies to use instantly or modify to meet your specific learning needs.
